Stella
“You know that I don’t really like rain, right?” She said right after I told her that I like her.
“What do you mean? You said the smell of the grass after a heavy rain was your favorite…” I looked at her with confusion. She always said the most random and unexpected thing.
She continued. “True, but don’t you think there are more cons than pros when it comes to raining and stuff"?”
“C’mon now, we are not in a debate competition at the moment”
“Let’s pretend we are then! The motion will be… Ah! This House Would Support the Usage of Rain Maker!”
“Does something like that even exist?”
“I found a conspiracy theory about that once! It was cool”
I sighed and was silent for awhile. “What are you trying to say?”
“I…” She paused, not showing any sign to continue.
“If you think I’m gonna be upset if you reject my confession, that would be the first time you guessed something wrong since our team-up in Manado.”
She was still quiet.
“Look, just say anything. It’s okay. I’ll still be your debate partner regardless of any answer you gave to me.”
“On the third or last day of the National Exam, I’ll give you the answer.”
“Again with the unexpected, but I’ll keep your words. See ya!”
That was the last time I saw her.
