The Steam Witch
The genius inventor, Maria Anderson, looks busy this morning. She is setting up a big metal cauldron with a big lever, which now is grabbed by her left hand. People has been gathering even before she was there. Off course no one knows what will she do. All they know is Ms. Maria is up to something again.
The town loves her. She is the pride of the people. The entire time Anderson setting up the machine, all of them was silent with a smile on their face. Children curiosity breaks the silence and they all sound so enthusiastic. “What are you making now, Ms. Maria?” “Ms. Maria you are so cool!” “Ms. Maria, pull the lever!”
Anderson alters her stance, resting all her weight on her right leg. She pulls it, finally, and loud noises from the machine was heard clearly by everyone around there. Steams burst all over the place. Then a thick, dark smoke comes out from the cauldron chimney. As the smoke goes higher, it grows bigger, turning into the shape of a cloud. Finally, it stops moving and now is at the size of a football field.
A barrage of lightnings and thunders growl, making the gloomy town looks even more depressing. It is such a horrifying picture, yet the people of the town are crying tears of joy. They all look at The Steam Witch which is now all wet.
“Thank you for the rain.”
